The 10-Point Audit

Run through these right now. Each one you fail is a client you're losing.

1

Mobile Experience

Pull up your website on your phone. Does everything fit? Can you read it without zooming? Are buttons easy to tap? Over 60% of web traffic is mobile โ€” if your site is broken on a phone, you're losing most of your visitors.

Fix: Mobile-first design, tested on real devices.

2

Load Speed

Go to PageSpeed Insights (free) and run your URL. If your score is below 70, you're losing visitors before they even see your content. Google also uses speed as a ranking factor.

Fix: Optimized images, clean code, fast hosting.

3

Clear Call-to-Action

Within 3 seconds of landing on your homepage, can a visitor tell what you want them to do next? Call you? Book an appointment? Fill out a form? If it's not obvious, they'll leave.

Fix: One primary CTA, above the fold, on every page.

4

Contact Information Visible

Is your phone number and/or email visible without scrolling? People who are ready to hire you shouldn't have to hunt for your contact info. If they have to look, they'll call your competitor instead.

Fix: Phone number in the header on every page.

5

SSL Certificate (HTTPS)

Look at your URL bar โ€” does your site show a padlock? If it says "Not Secure," visitors will bounce immediately and Google penalizes you in search rankings. This one is non-negotiable.

Fix: Free SSL via Let's Encrypt โ€” no excuse not to have it.

6

Trust Signals

Does your site show reviews, testimonials, years in business, certifications, or photos of real work? People buy from businesses they trust. A blank "About" page or zero social proof is a conversion killer.

Fix: Add 3+ real testimonials and at least one photo of your work.

7

Google Business Profile Connected

Is your website linked to a verified Google Business Profile? This is how you show up in local search results and Google Maps. Without it, you're invisible to anyone searching for your services nearby.

Fix: Claim and verify your Google Business Profile (free).

8

Clear Description of Services

Can a first-time visitor understand exactly what you do, who you serve, and where you're located โ€” within 10 seconds? Vague or generic copy ("We provide excellent services!") tells visitors nothing and converts no one.

Fix: Specific, plain-English copy with your service area front and center.

9

Privacy Policy & Legal Pages

Do you have a Privacy Policy? If you're running Google Ads, Meta Ads, or collecting any form data, you legally need one. Missing legal pages can also hurt your ad account and your Google rankings.

Fix: Add Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Accessibility Statement.

10

You're Not Embarrassed to Share It

This is the real test. If someone asks for your website right now, do you share it proudly โ€” or do you say "it's a work in progress"? Your website is your first impression. It should make you look as good as you actually are.

Fix: If you hesitated, it's time for a new site.

How many did you fail? ๐Ÿพ

If you failed 3 or more, your website is actively costing you clients. Let's fix that โ€” starting at $299.
